Crypto prices come straight from the CoinGecko public market API and refresh every 30 seconds. We multiply that USD price by a fiat conversion rate to build any pair on the fly. There's no submit-button delay, no rounding, and we never spread the price the way a broker would. The number you see is the mid-market reference rate — actual exchange rates will differ slightly based on spreads, fees, and your provider.

Polkadot (DOT) is a multi-chain layer-0 protocol that lets independent blockchains (parachains) interoperate while sharing the security of a central relay chain. DOT holders use the token to stake and secure the network, to nominate validators, to bond parachain slots through governance auctions, and to vote on protocol upgrades. The architecture is built to make cross-chain messaging native, not bolted on through bridges. Polkadot has gone through several supply-issuance redesigns and now targets a managed inflation curve that balances staking rewards against treasury accumulation. The parachain auction model has been imitated and refined by newer L0 protocols. Converting DOT to fiat is most common for stakers harvesting yield, or for parachain crowdloan participants cashing out after lock-up.
